Texas Tech Raiders is the sports team of Texas Tech University and has been bringing in victories for the university since its inception. The sportsmanship of every player is commendable. Texas Tech Red Raiders Football Team is one of the best amongst other sports team.

This team ventured into its first inter-collegiate football competition which was held on October 3, 1925. The game was brilliantly played against the McMurry University. And more surprisingly, neither of the team won because the competition resulted in a 0-0 tie!

The Texas Tech Red Raiders football team is always been vigorous and all the time winning associate of Big 12 Conference which became as Division I Bowl Subdivision of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Since, the initiation of the program, there has never been a point in time when Texas Tech Raiders have not come up with a winning success.

This team has achieved all at once 11 conference titles and is tremendously performing well until date under the well-guidance of an experienced coach Mike Leach. The team-members have always been on stimulate and have proved their capabilities not in one game but nearly every year they achieved victory. Over the past couple of years, there has never been a single game that Red Raiders have let the chances for the Big 12 Conference teams to win over higher grade!

Usually, the home games are hosted in Lubbock, Texas at AT&T Stadium. The team has been ranked fifth on national level while competing in Big 12 programs for several consecutive years.

Texas Tech Red Raiders also have honor of being placed at number 32 by ESPN in July 2007. The ranking was based on evaluating the performance in 119 FBS football programs that have been hosted from 1997-2006.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders team has got 56 winning records from 2000-20006 game seasons. During this period, no other winning team except for Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Texas appeared in the eye of public favor.

The team is proved to be a rage amongst the football lovers, not only in the university but everywhere. The fans of the Texas Red Raiders and the football players have started online-forums where the football lovers from the globe meet to discuss about the game gaming strategies.

There are a number of marketing campaigns, which have been hosted in lieu of getting a move on the team. Numerous magazines have been publishing regular features just to boast about the team players and their brilliant sportsmanship. The fundamental reason behind their unshakable winning record is the team-unity and the respect they have for their sportsmanship.

The interesting cover page of Dave Campbell?s Texas Football, a sports magazine exhibit smiling faces of Coach Mike Leach together with best players like Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree. The magazine also foretold that the football team of Texas Tech Red Raiders would surely win the title of Big 12 South. The huge excitement and the uproar of audiences in the stadium is worth seeing for when the players set their foot on grounds.
