One of the important factors you should look for, when you want to purchase lighting fixtures is the quality of customer support. It does not matter how easy the installation appears on the box, you will often need some technical help. Questions cannot always be answered with the FAQ section. Look for different ways to communicate with the company like; email, phone and live help.

What to look for when you’re needing a company with good customer support:

* Time to reply: the time a business takes to reply to you is an obvious indicator of their dedication to the customer. Businesses that put their clients first will reply to you fast, usually within 24 hours. And, businesses that care about their clients want them to be satisfied, so they will endeavor to produce better products.

* The interest they show in helping you is another good indicator. Sometimes when you call a company for help, the person on the other end sounds like they’d rather be at home or doing something else. This is one of the most annoying things a customer can encounter, because when you are up against an employee like this, you begin to have doubts about the company and its products.

* Good FAQ section: part of good customer service is having a good FAQ section on the company web site. This saves customers having to call the customer service department and can even solve some technical problems. FAQ sections are made up of common questions that the company has had over time.

* 24/7 technical support: 24 hour technical support can never be over rated no matter what industry you’re in. Down time can equate to lots of lost dollars.

* Are they knowledgeable? It is good if a company offers technical service but you need to be sure that they are knowledgeable. Companies that care about their customers will hire professional, techs who know what they are doing and can explain it properly to you.

* Were they friendly and polite? It costs nothing to smile and many people in customer service forget that it’s their job to keep the customers happy. Don’t put up with rude people.

* Where they concise and to the point: did they answer your questions or give you technical support in a quick and timely manor? Time is valuable, no matter who you are and you want the representative on the other end of the phone to help you and answer your questions in as concise a way as possible. This is also a sign of a professional company.

With these points you can see that good customer service means a lot to you as the customer. So look for companies that can offer you this. After all you never know when you may need a little help or run into some technical trouble.
